Chinese “big brother” knows who watched porn

Beijing scientists said they have created a prototype device that tracks brain signals to determine when a man is watching porn. This is reported by the South China Morning Post.

The researchers plan to combine the capabilities of artificial intelligence and the human brain in the field of filtering content on the Internet. According to them, despite the rapid development of technology, AI is still significantly inferior to humans in the degree of pornography recognition. The developed device combines the capabilities of a person and a machine, which should lead to an improvement in the efficiency of moderators, along with facilitating their work.

It is worth noting that pornography is illegal in China, and the country’s censorship system removes such content from the Internet. Scientists are looking for ways to automate this process, which is why such devices appear.

However, the description of the device says about its 80 percent efficiency. In addition, the gadget was tested on only 15 men.
