Microsoft President Brad Smith, during an interview with The Washington Post, said that the corporation intends to continue curtailing work in Russia to a minimum or complete cessation of activities. This is reported by
“As for Russia, we are working there less and less until there is nothing left or almost nothing,” he said.
Smith also said that Microsoft will not abandon Russian employees. They will be provided with timely assistance. The number of employees of the company residing in the Russian Federation is not specified.
Also today, Cisco announced its gradual withdrawal from Russia and Belarus. The network equipment manufacturing giant will begin an “organized reduction of business” and will contact customers directly to resolve financial issues, including to refund prepayment for services.
Cisco promised employees of Russian and Belarusian divisions “support in this difficult time.”
