Microsoft has released Defender for Individuals

After several months of testing, Microsoft made Microsoft Defender for Individuals publicly available on June 16, which is a toolbar for managing and monitoring the security status on Windows computers, macOS and iOS and Android mobile devices.

If the user has antivirus products from other companies, the Defender control panel will show the protection status of the device. Microsoft states that the user will receive security warnings, troubleshooting suggestions, and security tips to better protect the device.

Microsoft Defender for Individuals is available for free for Microsoft 365 Family and Personal subscribers. The full version of Defender cannot be downloaded without a subscription, but there is a free 30-day trial for those who do not have a Microsoft 365 subscription.

In addition, Microsoft invites some users to participate in the beta testing of the product to get feedback on new features such as identity theft protection and secure online connections.
