Russian schools will receive complexes for creating drones


In Russia, by the beginning of the new school year, schools will receive more than three thousand systems for creating and programming Pioneer Mini drones, it is reported
on the website of the Ministry of Education.

The delivery of the complexes will be organized with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia on behalf of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova. The Ministry of Education of Russia assesses the supply of such complexes as expanding opportunities for students to study at electives, in circles and sections.

The Russian company Geoscan will be engaged in the development of the complexes. The company’s website says that the Pioneer Mini quadcopter is capable of flying autonomously at a speed of up to 20 km / h according to a program written by schoolchildren. The flight duration is up to 10 minutes, and the range reaches 50 meters.
