According to the latest quarterly report on trends and threat analytics from Agari and PhishLabs, over the past twelve months (from Q1 2022 to Q1 2021), attackers have started using vishing 5.5 times more often.

In the 1st quarter of 2022, Agari and PhishLabs detected and eliminated hundreds of thousands of phishing attacks carried out from social networks, email and darkweb, aimed at a wide range of businesses and brands. The report provides an analysis of the latest data and the main trends shaping the threat landscape.

According to the data obtained, vishing since the 3rd quarter of 2021 has overtaken the compromise of business email in terms of the number of recorded email-related attacks. By the end of the year, every fourth recorded attack was a vishing attack and this trend continued until the 1st quarter of 2022.
