Rostec State Corporation, the Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics (MTUCI) subordinate to the Ministry of Finance and the Cascade Company will jointly develop a line of secure and energy-efficient cryptoprocessors for the Internet of Things. The agreement between the parties on the development of separate chips for encrypting information was signed in order to protect devices from unauthorized intrusion.

According to the agreements reached, MTUCI will develop software and ensure the integration of crypto algorithms, Automatika will conduct case studies, certify, promote and sell a family of cryptoprocessors, and Cascade will create a topology of chips, test and carry out the final configuration of products.

We are talking at once about a line of secure cryptoprocessors for the Internet of Things segment. As stated in the press release, separate chips for encrypting information will help secure data and protect devices from unauthorized intrusion.

The cryptoprocessor converts the data in such a way that it can only be decrypted on the original computer, under the control of the same software that was originally used. This ensures the maximum level of security and the impossibility of unauthorized access to information from the outside. The presence of a cryptoprocessor eliminates the need for additional use of physical means of protecting the system.

Cryptographic protection of information is a necessity when implementing Internet of Things systems in various industries. It blocks attackers from accessing IoT networks, protects critical data from interception and eliminates unauthorized impact on technological processes.

Cryptoprocessors are used in the production of intelligent sensors for the oil, mining and other industries. The products can also be used in sensors for controlling engines of cars or airplanes, to create equipment for critical infrastructure As part of the project, MTUCI engineers create software, as well as ensure the integration of crypto algorithms. Automatika Concern certifies a family of cryptoprocessors, as well as conducts various studies and sells products.
