IBM has decided to withdraw from the Russian market


Long before the outbreak of hostilities, the company offered IBM employees in Ukraine and their families to move to neighboring countries at the company’s expense. The company also assured that it will support and protect IBM employees in Russia. – IBM CEO Arvind Krishna said in an official statement from the company.

The company stopped the sale of technology in Russia and stated that it does not do business with Russian military organizations.

According to Krishna, “IBM employees around the world remain united in their hope for a rapid restoration of peace. We pay tribute to the world leaders who acted decisively in the hope of establishing peace.

IBM’s revenue by the end of 2021 reached $57.35 billion against $55.18 billion a year earlier. The volume of IBM’s software business (this includes Red Hat solutions and software for automation, information security, Big Data, artificial intelligence, etc.) amounted to $24.14, and in 2020 – $22.93 billion.
