In Windows 11, a watermark may appear warning about non-compliance with system requirements

Microsoft experts are experimenting with two new methods of warning Windows 11 users that they have installed the operating system on unsupported hardware. In the latest test builds of Windows 11, a new watermark has appeared on the desktop wallpaper, as well as a similar warning on the settings application landing page.

If the test build is running on unsupported hardware, a watermark on the desktop will inform the user about “non-compliance with system requirements” and will be displayed next to the build number in trial or preview versions of Windows. The watermark is similar to the notification that appears in Windows if the user has not activated the OS.

The first is this change noticed a Twitter user using the alias Albacore. However, it is not known whether Microsoft intends to show this warning on all devices. The software manufacturer is testing new additions to Windows 11, which may not be included in the final version.
